How secure is my data with Ask Read?

Read was founded with a deep commitment to security and privacy and we adhere to industry-leading security practices, including being SOC 2 Type 2 certified. Ask Read uses encryption at rest and in transit to ensure the confidentiality of your data. The system also respects your existing access controls; only data that is accessible to you via the apps you connect will be searchable, and nothing is shared automatically with others.

How does Ask Read work?

The Read AI Free Agent, our agentic AI capable of search, content generation, and recommendations, powers Ask Read. It works by connecting to the data sources you already use, indexing the relevant information, and using Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to find and rank the most relevant data for your query. We then process this information through a large language model to generate a response that is tailored to your needs. This ensures that you're getting accurate, contextually rich answers from across your organization’s tools, all in one place. No other agentic AI has native, independent, and free access to all of these closed systems, and we uniquely allow every consumer to decide what content Ask Read can access. What is Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)?

RAG is a cutting-edge approach that combines traditional retrieval-based search with generative AI. It allows our Free Agent to retrieve the most relevant documents and data from your sources and then use a large language model to generate insightful, context-aware responses. This process makes the search more intelligent and efficient, providing answers rather than just raw documents.

Can I customize which data sources Ask Read can access?

Yes! Each user has full control over which data sources Ask Read connects to via their Apps & Integrations page. Admins can also prohibit specific applications for their workspace from the Workspace Settings page, based on your team’s needs and security policies. Can Ask Read be used with multiple teams or departments?

Yes! Ask Read is built to scale across multiple teams, departments, and even organizations. Each user has their own version of search, based on the integrations they connect and the meeting reports accessible from their account. Organizations can set their own policies around data retention, sharing, and prohibited data sources, with additional controls available at the team level. How do I get started with Ask Read?

Getting started is easy and free! Simply sign up for a Read AI account if you don’t already have one, connect your integrations, and you’ll be ready to start searching across your tools. Unlimited searches are included in both our free and paid plans. The Read AI intuitive onboarding process guides you through setup, and our customer support team is always available if you need assistance.

Can I try Ask Read before purchasing a paid plan?

Ask Read is currently available to all Read AI users, even those on the free plan. Free users won’t be able to connect any of Read’s premium integrations but can access Ask Read for all of their meetings, emails, chat messages, and cloud storage integrations. We also offer all new users a 7-day free trial of the Enterprise plan, so you can experience the full power of Ask Read with all premium integrations before committing to a paid plan, which costs less than $1/day.

Is Ask Read suitable for small businesses or just large enterprises?

Ask Read is designed both for personal use and to scale across organizations of all sizes. Currently, Ask Read focuses on internal data sources, such as meeting transcripts, email, chat, documents, and CRMs. Users can also toggle to external LLM models like premium versions of ChatGPT and Anthropic for general knowledge search. We are also exploring the possibility of integrating with external data sources like public databases, knowledge bases, and more in the future. Stay tuned for updates!

Can I search specific types of meetings?

Yes! Ask Read offers filtering options above the search bar, allowing you to refine results by specific time frames (e.g., the last 30 days). To search within your own meetings exclusively, navigate to your Reports tab and switch to Keyword Search for a more focused search experience.

Will Ask Read provide insight into meeting engagement?

Absolutely. A major advantage of Read AI is its multi-modal approach, analyzing both implicit and explicit signals to generate high-quality meeting insights. We are continuously enhancing Ask Read by integrating these engagement insights, ensuring that every response is enriched with the most relevant and valuable information.

Can I search the internet with Ask Read?

Ask Read is a tool that provides instant answers about your own knowledge base and the content of your meetings, emails, messages, workflow and other siloed tools that are available to you and your teammates. It currently does not search the open web, but can access general knowledge through premium LLM search.
